Crafts......Creativiness..Randomness...And Friends Talking Silliness

K so every once in awhile my friend Amberlee and I, just have to have a reason to get together eat lunch...eat chocolate...chit chat and do something worth while...and...so we did!  Amberlee, her sis Nicole, Jenny and our invisible friend for the day Ang (home with sick kids), did just that!  We started our craft day with inspiration from our Neighbor Melissa Quigley who happened to be on Studio 5  (which we love...Studio 5 and Melissa of course :) ) We then moved on to TURKEYS!  Those silly little birds that we love to eat on Thanksgiving day.  Along with chocolate, potatoe soup, artichoke dip and our rebellious drink...beer  (rootbeer that is!) Our turkeys turned out quite cute and silly and the day was fabulous even with a house full of kids....11 to be exact I believe.  Love dear friends and any reason to get together!

Miracles + Modern Medicine= GRATITUDE

So my sweet Mom went in once again for surgery on her mouth, just a little over a year from last years surgery for oral cancer that was to leave her with  a great chance of leaving her face deformed,  her speech to be relearned, and eating from a feeding tube a must for many weeks.  We experienced a Miracle last year as we watched her come from 15 hours of surgery into her room looking as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside.  The next day she was speaking, and a couple weeks later eating.  A miracle?  most DEFINITELY!!  The power of the Priesthood was defiantly witnessed last year.
Well the metal plate they put in her jaw had broke...Titanium it was and yes it broke!  So she went into surgery again 2 days ago to have it replaced.  Once again she was told she would remain in the hospital 3-5 days.  Well she came home yesterday morning.  There is no words of gratitude that can be expressed to a loving Heavenly Father that would even come close to the gratitude that fills my heart and would be enough to thank him properly.  What a miracle my Sis, Brothers and I have witnessed.

BeD TiMe

So I watched my niece and nephew tonight ages 4 and 2 and it occured to me that I could actually have these children and they would fit in age wise with our 9 and 7 year old.  I was then very grateful that we have a Heavenly Father who know each of us so well and blessed Ken and I  with 4 children with the first 2 and the last 2 with 7 years in between!  We had lots of fun but oh how you forget the demands of kids under 5!  At the end of the night I was most grateful for this......
