Gratitude and 10 Days before Thanksgiving Advent (advent - arrival that has been awaited (especially of something momentous)

So we were reading about Jacob and his Sons and it says Joseph was his favorite.  Ke'Nia said "I know who your favorite is....Daddy!"  Today I am grateful for the obvious to our daughter Ke'Nia.  How I count myself as blessed with a loving husband and father.  The fact that we love each other is often taken for granted but it's nice to know that it's obvious to those around us.  In a world of troubled marriages and not enough effort in commitments,  it makes me so grateful for Our love.  Love used as a Noun, Verb, and Adjective, for it is all 3.

Life As We Know It

So its official...Dakotah has his call to Lima West Peru!!  Feb 16th and so much to do.  We had to celebrate so we took an overextended weekend and went out of town.  We headed to Island Park with the Alan Martin family where we 4-wheeled and floated the river for a couple of days.  Beautiful Beautiful fall weekend.  Warm and sunny.  We went to Yellowstone and stayed the night in Jackson.  What a great get-away!

 Love this family of mine!!  How blessed we are and how excited we are for Dakotah as he embarks on a new Chapter of his life.  Bitter-Sweet is a perfect word describing this change that will soon be here.  A word that can only be understood in a situation such as this (right Hilary?)
