Bring on the Fall

First week of October just finishing up.  Halloween decor is up and ready.  Holiday celebration now in the works and colors and coolness of fall is happily received!  Memories will be written but the first week in pictures is non-existent.  What the heck is my deal?!!  Started off October with a ride over East Canyon and Emigration Canyon leaves were FABULOUS!  Was waiting for the perfect stop, which was everywhere but didn't stop :( ..stopped at Smash Burger for a bite (not impressed, 5 guys kicks!) and on over to Cabelas for fun??  ya FUN!  It is the season for the hunt so we checked out all the "stuff"  Ridge can hardly wait to turn 12.  Sunday Jaden was ordained an Elder so the  parents were up and we enjoyed dinner.  Yummy as usual because Ken and Dakotah were the chefs.  Steak, chicken and shrimp on the Q with all the yummys to go with.  Beautiful blessing given with the ordination and once again still trying to get through my mind that the older two kids are now young adults and praying that we have taught them the best we could and trusting they will rely heavily on the Father from above.  Monday FHE and Ghosts..the ones of Secret Service and so we began Boo-ing the neighborhood!  Kids favorite thing to do..Ghost to get rid of as they do "ghost-like service through out the week.  Ke'Nia rid herself of ghost quickly!  That age and the excitement of everything!!  Witches Stew and Bread Broomstix started the Halloween menu..Ghost "peeps" smores and a Webeloes den meeting with the "mad scientist"  making fog, soda pop volcanoes, rock candy suckers, and a dry ice bomb (found out later about that one because I had to leave with Ke'Nia for gymnastics)  Night Games playing GHOSTs in the Graveyard with 17 neighborhood children and a body that creeked and cried out and played the part well!  Beautiful night and lots of excited children!  Mummy Dogs played on the menu before the excitement, because halloween food is fun! A trip to Artic Circle for the Square Pumpkin and flashlight and a hockey game to follow played by my Nephew Dax Hobbs..ya you know the name..only the best Hockey player for Weber State!!  And then a quiet weekend to be enjoyed along with Conference.  Ken and the rest of the company partners are in Arizona collecting the Inc. 500 number #17 Award and some EXCITING things happening for the company.  Busy Busy first week!!  So until the next week...SCARY ON cackle cackle...

Great write up! Your house looked even more AmaZiNg in person. So creepy! What fun ideas too, I must steal some.
